Teenage girls with negative behavior are often unable to correct that behavior when entering residential programs that have high enrollments (and less individual attention) or co-ed programming. While teens share many issues in common, Kolob Canyon Residential Treatment Center believes a staff that specializes solely in adolescent female issues and that carefully restricts enrollment to ensure lots of one-on-one interaction will have the greatest possible chance of creating positive change in your daughter.

The following are characteristics of typical problems the Kolob Canyon staff treat. This is not an exhaustive list, but is a brief sample of common admissions:

  • Eating disorders
  • Addictive behaviors
  • Depression and other mood disorders
  • Family adjustment difficulties
  • Low self-esteem
  • Victims of abuse and neglect
  • Parent/child conflict
  • Obsessive, compulsive disorders
  • Manipulation
  • Low motivation
  • Oppositional-defiance
  • Habitual lying
  • Substance abuse
  • Pornography addiction
  • School failure
  • Hopelessness
  • ADHD
  • Attachment disorders
  • Adoption issues
  • Anger management
  • Peer problems
  • Computer and/or Internet addiction
  • Conduct disorders
  • Other anxiety disorders
  • Post-traumatic stress
  • Sexual addictions
  • Suicidal
  • Bereavement
  • Abandonment issues
  • Relationship problems

Our admissions criteria will not allow for:

  • Medically unstable Pregnancy
  • Fire Starters
  • Psychotic disorders
  • Sexual perpetrator
  •
