Desiree Fryer

Desiree was born and raised in Arizona and moved to Cedar City with my family in 2000. She graduated from Southern Utah University (SUU) with a bachelor's degree in psychology. I have worked with the CERTS Group since 2004, while I was attending SUU.  She started as a mentor and then moved to shift lead at Moonridge Academy and Kolob Canyon. After graduation, Desiree started working at Mountain Springs Preparatory Academy, a new transitional boarding school created by the same owners as Moonridge and Kolob Canyon. She worked there as a shift lead, staff director, and director of operations.

During her time at Mountain Springs, Desiree got married and started her family. With the birth of her second child, Desiree moved into an admissions role, facilitating paperwork for all incoming students to all the CERTS Group programs (Kolob Canyon, Moonridge Academy, Mountain Springs, and La Europa Academy). After 8 years of work in admissions, Desiree decided to go back to school to fulfill her dream of becoming a therapist for the CERTS Group programs. All three of her children are in school currently, so it made sense to join them.  Desiree is in the Masters of Social Work program at the University of Utah and will graduate in 2024. As part of her education, Desiree has been involved as an intern in the clinical team at Kolob since July 2022.  She is excited to  support students and their families. 

Desiree loves spending time with her family, traveling, the outdoors, and anything that sparkles.
