We are a small treatment center with only 12-16 students and are located in New Harmony, Utah. It is a fun and rewarding place to work. Kolob Canyon Residential Treatment Center employs teachers, therapists and mentors who are working together to make a difference in the lives of teenagers between the ages of 14 through 17 who are experiencing challenges with trauma, depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicide ideation, adoption issues, difficulties in school, poor peer and/or family relations, limit setting, and low self-worth.
Heart at Peace: We lead with compassion and connection, using a relational approach with our clients. We prioritize understanding over control, and relationships over rigid systems.
Charge the Storm: We face challenges head-on with courage and integrity. Instead of avoiding problems, we run toward them, ready to respond rather than retreat.
Be Sirius-ly Fun: We create space for laughter, play, and connection—without losing sight of structure. We set clear expectations and boundaries while keeping joy at the center.
Act and Think Like an Adult: We use sound judgment and effective responsibility to every situation. We model what it means to lead with the Adult part of ourselves.
Sustainably Resourceful: We make things happen, even with limited resources. With a “whatever it takes” mentality, we find creative, while finds ways that are sustainable:
We are looking for people who care. People with a good attitude that are willing to give themselves to helping others.
Kolob uses a busy, but fun schedule of experiences and adventure to help our students find a "Life Worth Living". Students, parents and staff participate in regular outdoor adventures that provide connection, skills building, insight and mastery. We believe in a patient approach where students are cared about and loved, while still being held accountable for their decisions and conduct.
